Several pieces being performed at this year’s GAIA Chamber Music Festival will enjoy a special premiere in Thun in May 2010. In addition to a world premiere and the first Swiss performance of Robert Schumann’s early piano quartet in C minor, other works have been newly arranged for the Festival; it is almost certain that some of these arrangements will be heard for the first time in Switzerland.
The musicians are eagerly awaiting these premieres. If however, despite thorough research, these arrangements have been played previously by other musicians, the assertion that the performances at GAIA are premieres will be withdrawn without hesitation.
